CDC Mandatory Vaccine Comparison Chart

A friend of mine had this vaccine comparison chart on her facebook and I just had to post it. I was ironically having a conversation over the weekend with a friend how the vaccines my generation got are nothing compared to what they get vaccinated with today. This chart reiterates that.

  1. I am totally against manatory vaccine's now. They are getting away out of hand and not giving the public well researched serum like they did in the past.FDA is failing us now.Our government in getting way too involved in peoples personal matters. It should be only the parents responsibility for these vaccines for there kids, not the government.

  2. I believe that infants and children should be vaccinated for eradicated diseases like polio and tetnis and that it should be government mandated and regulated. These diseases are well understood and preventable thru vaccination. Prevention of these diseases through vaccination has become the cure. For example, in recent history, polio was thought to be completely eradicated from every country in the world, but in India a sharp rise in polio was found in infants and has now been significantly reduced due to vaccinating children at birth thanks to many organizations delivering the vaccine for free. Not every disease is preventable thru vaccines and the vaccination of influenza is for a virus, not a disease, and is the reason why the virus will continue to mutate in the human body. The risk of vaccinating for highly mutated viruses like avian flu makes the virus stronger and weakens the immune system in the human body and therefore becomes unable to defend itself to eliminate it once its contracted. Swine flu and avian flu were never before able to be transferred to humans, and I believe due to all the flu vaccines it has weakened our immune systems to the point that now humans have become susceptible to these inter species viruses. There is a difference between viruses and diseases. I agree Parents should ultimately make the decisions to have their children vaccinated for viruses, but to keep well understood of the preventable diseases that are in need of vaccination to keep them as close to eradication as possible. Some vaccines should be controlled and mandated by the governments for infants and children. Especially diseases like tetnis and polio. I believe that the failure to do so on the parents behalf is a terrible misjudgment, and can lead to a child's life ending in horrible pain and suffering, and is completely preventable. I guess depending on the parent and their education, judgment is a grey area.
